Rottnest Island Authority manages and maintains recreational and built infrastructure on Rottnest island, including maintenance of public areas. Such infrastructure includes sealed and unsealed roads, pathways, boardwalks, steps and stairs, beach access paths.

The RIA’s strategic focus areas are to improve visitor experiences which ensure Rottnest Island remains competitive, relevant and becomes a must-visit tourism destination.

The RIA commissioned Industrial Safe to undertake an independant risk review of road usage at Rottnest Island to guide the development of targeted road safety strategies across the island.
